Players in Smalland: Survive the Wilds can now team up across platforms as full cross-play support rolls out alongside one of the game’s biggest updates yet. The new patch brings cross-platform multiplayer, server-wide guilds, summonable companions, and new areas to explore — all playable now via Steam, including on GeForce NOW.
This is the first major update since launch to expand both cooperative features and creature management, while also deepening the world’s lore with new quests and wildlife.
Cross-Play Now Live
You can now connect with players across Steam, Epic, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in a shared survival experience. Explore, build, tame creatures, and fight together regardless of your device, with progress and gameplay synced for all.
For cloud players streaming through GeForce NOW, this makes jumping into multiplayer smoother than ever no barriers, no matchmaking separation.
Build Together with the New Guild System
Smalland now supports persistent player Guilds, allowing players to form groups that exist beyond a single session. Guild members can work together to build and defend shared Tree Encampments, accessible any time one member is online.
A new revive consumable also gives players the ability to rescue each other mid-run, making teamwork even more rewarding.
Stables and Companion Summoning
Companions are getting an upgrade. You can now summon your tamed creatures at will using the new Summoning Pebble and house them in one of three stable types based on their size.
A new Homecoming Totem lets you recall your companion back to camp if they get separated or lost. It’s a big quality-of-life boost that makes pet management far easier and more useful during long expeditions.
New Northern Encampments and a Wild New Threat
Two new Tree Encampments have been added to the northern Overlands, expanding the network and giving players new places to settle, upgrade, and launch from. There’s also a new questline involving the Rufous-Bellied Tit, a previously unseen creature that adds new challenges to the ecosystem.
Between expanded traversal, new guild dynamics, and deeper companion mechanics, this update touches nearly every part of the game.
Whether you’re gliding over spider webs, taming bugs, or managing a multi-player base, Smalland: Survive the Wilds just became a lot more connected.
