Meat Boy is back and bloodier than ever — in full 3D. Revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase, Super Meat Boy 3D reimagines the brutal precision platforming the series is known for with a brand-new third-person perspective and the same old habit of killing you a hundred times per level.
Even more surprising, this marks the first time a Meat Boy game has opted into GeForce NOW, hinting at cloud support via Steam when it eventually launches.
Still brutal. Now 3D.
In Super Meat Boy 3D, our animated cube of flesh is once again on a mission to save Bandage Girl this time by leaping through buzz saw gauntlets, crumbling caves, and garbage-filled wastelands from a tuxedo-wearing fetus in a jar.
This new take on the franchise maintains everything fans expect:
- Fast, responsive platforming
- Soul-crushing difficulty
- Wall jumps, hazards, and timed chaos
- Boss fights, Dark World levels, and secrets galore
- A soundtrack loud enough to melt your teeth
The 3D perspective changes everything — but only on the surface. At its core, this is still classic Meat Boy. Just, you know… in 3D.
First step toward the cloud
With this opt-in, it’s the first time the Meat Boy series has had any GeForce NOW support. While nothing is officially confirmed, the backend update makes it more likely that Super Meat Boy 3D will be available to stream through GFN when it launches.
