The next era of galactic warfare has arrived. CCP Games has officially launched EVE Online: Legion, a major new expansion that introduces player-created contracts, devastating new warships, nullsec sovereignty enhancements, and fleet-wide rebalances — all live now across New Eden.
Take Freelance Jobs from Players, Not NPCs
The centerpiece of Legion is the Freelance Jobs system, which allows players of any experience level to accept structured, player-created missions posted by player-run corporations. These tasks span everything from combat to mining, with corporations able to list up to 100 jobs and freelancers taking on three at a time.
It’s a bold new recruitment tool — one that lets rookies earn ISK, gain reputation, and step into the war economy without needing to join a corp outright.
Two New Ships Rewrite the Battlefield
Two powerful ships headline this expansion:
- Sarathiel (Angel Cartel Dreadnought): Heavy-hitting, siege-capable, and uniquely mobile — it can jump while in siege mode.
- Babaroga (Triglavian Marauder): Precision-focused Tech II with beam-style disintegrator and improved survivability in bastion mode.
Whether you’re fighting in lowsec or leading assaults in sovereign space, these ships are built for impact.
More Control Over Nullsec Space
Legion brings depth to sovereignty warfare with three new upgrade categories for claimed systems, allowing corps to enhance combat, scanning, and workforce generation. Revamped sites offer better rewards and more emergent escalation potential — and a new one-click skyhook capture tool makes conquering space that little bit easier.
Visuals, Reworks & Fleet Meta Shifts
The expansion also includes:
- Complete redesigns of five classic Tech I cruisers
- Navigation upgrades and improved map tools
- Buffs to logistics, pirate dreadnoughts, and capital fighters
- Wider resistance module rebalance to shake up PvP and PvE combat
For corp leaders, the Corporation Palette now lets you define your brand with custom colors, rolling out across killmarks, map overlays, and more in future updates.
7-Day Omega Deal + Launch Packs
To celebrate the launch, all players can claim 7 days of Omega for just 10 PLEX via the in-game store. Two new Legion-themed packs are also available: one designed for newer players entering PvP and Freelance Jobs, the other tailored for veteran capsuleers commanding warships in nullsec.
