Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest installment in Capcom’s action-RPG franchise, transporting players to the expansive Forbidden Lands, a vast natural world full of dynamic weather, seamless exploration, and an ecosystem where monsters and prey interact realistically . New mechanics include the Seikret mount—a bird-like companion that carries gear and lets hunters swap weapons mid-hunt—plus a Focus Mode to target wounds and weak spots for high-damage Focus Strikes.
Players can hunt solo or team up in four-player co-op with full cross-platform play on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Each biome introduces environmental hazards, massive monster encounters, and a survival-based gear progression system rooted in crafting and combat strategy.
Despite launching to mixed PC performance, the game quickly became Capcom’s fastest-selling title, with over 8 million copies sold within 3 days of its global February 28, 2025 release—and maintained strong cloud support after its addition to GeForce NOW.
