The Alters is a narrative-driven survival game developed and published by 11 bit studios, creators of This War of Mine and Frostpunk. Set on a hostile alien planet, players step into the role of Jan Dolski—a stranded miner who must survive not just the environment, but the weight of his own decisions.
To do so, Jan builds a high-tech mobile base and creates alternate versions of himself—called “Alters”—using a revolutionary substance known as Rapidium. Each Alter represents a different life path Jan could have taken: a scientist, a builder, a medic, and more. Managing their skills and personalities becomes essential to both survival and progression, introducing moral dilemmas and emotional depth to the gameplay.
With its mix of resource management, base-building, and branching narrative, The Alters offers a fresh take on sci-fi survival—now fully supported on GeForce NOW.
