Crossroads Update Brings Major Content Drop to The Division 2

Agents in combat during a high-intensity mission in The Division 2

The Division 2’s Crossroads update is now live, launching alongside the Battle for Brooklyn DLC and delivering one of the biggest seasonal refreshes in the game’s post-launch history. Agents can expect new enemies, exotic loot, manhunt missions, and an evolving narrative that pushes the ongoing story forward.

With Bardon Schaefer now awake, the Division races to extract a deep-cover agent embedded within the Sokolov Concern before it’s too late. The Black Tusk aren’t far behind.

Let’s break down everything that’s new.

Battle for Brooklyn Begins

Crossroads introduces the Battle for Brooklyn DLC, taking players into a new campaign set across Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. You’ll face off against the Purple Flame faction while unlocking new skills like the returning Smart Cover, and chase exclusive rewards like the Catalyst Exotic Mask.

This DLC sets the tone for what’s coming next in The Division 2’s story.

Modifiers Overhaul the Seasonal Meta

The new Hard-Core Global Modifier reshapes combat by giving agents attribute-based buffs that scale with Gear Cores and build synergy. Firearms, Stamina, and Electronics each affect your performance — and they get even stronger when you defeat marked enemies.

New Active and Passive Modifiers add another layer, allowing you to freeze your stats, buff your entire squad, or activate powerful attribute-specific effects.

These modifiers reward tactical play and experimentation, making both solo and co-op builds more dynamic.

Manhunt and Seasonal Journey Changes

Manhunt Scouts now unlock more freely, with only two key targets required to access the Climax Mission. The rest can be done in any order, giving players more flexibility in how they tackle the story.

The Seasonal Journey has also been reworked to allow for non-linear progression. You can now unlock Passive Modifiers through individual objectives, with Hybrid Passives and Active Modifiers spread out across the journey.

It’s a more player-friendly structure that makes progression feel less rigid and more rewarding.

New Gear and Exotics

This update introduces a new Exotic RPK-74 called Pakhan, new Named Weapons like Lud and Purist, and a new Exotic Holster that rewards movement and positioning.

The Measured Assembly Gear Set and Imminence Armaments Brand Set add fresh build potential, including Overcharge mechanics, new repair bonuses, and gear-specific damage synergies. There’s also the Tinkerer Exotic Mask, which can apply your secondary weapon talent to your primary — if the right conditions are met.

The Master Climax Mission

Finishing the Climax Mission on Master difficulty guarantees the Tinkerer Mask, though it can drop on lower settings with reduced chances. The mission marks the peak of the seasonal arc and is designed for players looking for the biggest rewards and highest stakes.

Streamlined Onboarding and QOL Updates

New players now receive Milestone Builds that offer guided gear setups at key levels. A new Level 40 Boost instantly brings a character to endgame and is included with Battle for Brooklyn.

Scavenging Points are now account-wide, offering better value and cleaner progression. Major boosts to XP from world activities and co-op mission progression round out the improvements.

Season Pass and One Time Offer

The new Season Pass includes free and premium tracks with cosmetics, gear, and resources. The Premium+ bundle adds more unlocks, while the One Time Offer grants extra credits and the exclusive Bedlam Mask for $19.99.

It’s a packed season with meaningful content for new and returning players alike.
