Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest Emerges June 18

Twisted, fleshy corridor overtaking machinery in Still Wakes the Deep

Still Wakes the Deep is getting a full-blown story expansion — and it’s heading straight into the depths of terror. Titled Siren’s Rest, this brand-new chapter arrives on June 18 and continues the unsettling tale that began with the Beira D disaster.

Set in 1986, over a decade after the events of the main game, Siren’s Rest brings players back to the now-submerged rig to uncover the long-lost truth. What really happened during that fateful winter? And why do some say it wasn’t just an accident?

This is not just a flashback — it’s a deep dive into something darker.

New Protagonist, New Threats

In Siren’s Rest, you play as Mhairi, a specialist diver leading a saturation team to explore the ruins of the Beira D. Your mission: investigate the site, recover what’s left, and bring closure to the families who never got answers.

But this isn’t just a salvage job. The wreck is a steel tomb resting in the black waters of the North Sea — and something down there is still waiting.

Armed with practical tools like a cutting torch, crowbar, and underwater camera, players must navigate the drowned corridors of the rig while avoiding something far more sinister than rusted steel and collapsing girders.

A New Chapter With Familiar Talent

The expansion is written by Sagar Beroshi (Helldivers 2) and features an all-new cast directed by Kate Saxon, returning from the original game. Standout names include Lois Chimimba (Doctor Who), Lorn Macdonald (Bridgerton), and David Menkin (Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy XVI).

It’s the same deep storytelling and atmospheric intensity The Chinese Room is known for — now pushed even further underwater.
