Frosthaven has entered the battlefield with a brand-new demo, launched as part of Steam Next Fest, and available until June 16 at 10am PT. This digital adaptation of the acclaimed board game lets players experience its deep tactical RPG systems firsthand, with both solo and co-op modes included.
Developed by Snapshot Games, Frosthaven builds on the foundation of Gloomhaven, offering a darker, more complex campaign. Set in a remote northern outpost constantly under threat, players must manage their party’s survival while expanding their settlement, exploring icy ruins, and fending off hostile factions.
This latest demo includes several missions that showcase the game’s hex-based turn-based combat, character progression systems, and base-building elements. Narration is fully implemented, and the developers have reworked key UI components and added improved animations to create a more polished experience based on prior feedback.
You can try the demo throughout Steam Next Fest, and all progress will carry over into the full version when it launches later in 2025.
