The cinematic puzzle-platforming adventure Planet of Lana is getting a sequel. Revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase, Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf will continue the story of Lana and Mui in a deeper, more action-oriented journey and it’s already opted into GeForce NOW. With the original already playable on GFN, this sequel looks highly likely to follow suit.

A New Journey for Lana and Mui

Set in the same stunning universe as the original, Planet of Lana II brings players back to Novo, where Lana and her loyal companion Mui uncover ancient secrets lurking beneath the surface. But this time, the bond between them is tested by an emerging threat that puts their fate and possibly the planet’s at risk.

Alongside the emotional storytelling that fans loved, the sequel promises new mechanics, including wall jumps, run-slides, and improved stealth sequences. Players will tackle a wider range of puzzles, engage in more intense action sequences, and explore diverse new biomes, including underwater sections. All of it is backed by another haunting score from composer Takeshi Furukawa.

Why This Matters

The first Planet of Lana is available to stream right now on GeForce NOW, and the sequel has already opted in for support. While not yet confirmed, the developer’s track record and the GFN opt-in suggest Planet of Lana II is on track to launch on the service in 2026.
