PlayStation State of Play June 2025 – A GeForce NOW Perspective

PlayStation State of Play broadcast date and time announcement graphic

Sony’s June 2025 State of Play brought a stacked lineup of reveals, trailers, and release dates. While much of the focus was on PS5 exclusives and console-first announcements, quite a few of the showcased titles are also coming to PC — which means some may be headed to GeForce NOW in the future. Here’s our breakdown of what was announced, and what we think could land on GFN.

Confirmed GFN Opt-Ins and High Likelihood Titles

Two games shown at the event have already opted into GeForce NOW, which is a strong early indicator of potential support. For a breakdown of what “opting in” means, check our full explainer here.

  • Sea of Remnants – The puppetfolk ocean adventure was officially announced for both PC and PS5 and is already opted into GFN. It’s published by NetEase, a company with a growing footprint on the platform, so we think this one is very likely to appear in the GFN library.
  • Baby Steps – The surreal literal walking sim from the team behind Getting Over It got a September 8 release date and a hilarious new trailer. It’s opted in to GFN, and with Devolver publishing, we expect this to show up at launch.

Strong Maybes and Solid Candidates

  • Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles – Square Enix has been steadily improving its cloud support, and Final Fantasy XVI even launched on GFN day one. With both classic and enhanced versions of Tactics coming to PC, this remake has a decent chance of following suit.
  • Tides of Tomorrow – The new narrative-driven multiplayer game from DigixArt (known for Road 96) has a PC release planned. The studio has dabbled in cloud before, so we’re cautiously optimistic this could arrive on GFN by launch or shortly after.
  • Cairn – A survival climbing sim with a playable demo and November release. Every other title from the dev has made it to GFN, so this seems like a strong candidate.
  • Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement – A sequel to Ritual of the Night, which is already on GFN. This 2.5D action RPG continues the gothic legacy, and while it’s only confirmed for PS5 so far, a PC version seems inevitable. With publisher history taken into account, we’d say the odds look good.
  • Hirogami – This stylish origami-inspired action title is coming to PC and has a mid-size publisher behind it. It’s not a sure thing, but there’s a reasonable chance it ends up on GFN.
  • 007 First Light – IO Interactive’s new Bond origin story is set for 2026. It’s coming to PC and consoles, and while it hasn’t opted in yet, IO’s long-standing GFN support (Hitman World of Assassination is already on the platform) means this has a good shot of following.

Unlikely (for Now)

Some titles look less likely to appear on GeForce NOW in the near future, either due to publisher choices, platform focus, or past absence from cloud services:

  • Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls – Currently Sony-published and console-focused. Would be a surprise.
  • Nioh 3, Silent Hill f, Metal Gear Solid Delta, Lumines Arise, Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots – Experience telling me these are unlikely.
  • Romeo Is a Dead Man – Hardest one to judge gut is saying no.
  • Sword of the Sea – Made by Giant Squid, whose past games haven’t hit GFN. Currently PS5-focused.
  • Digimon Story: Time Stranger – PC release is coming, but Bandai Namco titles have been hit-or-miss.
  • Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collection – While it’s great to see this compilation exist, Warner Bros. has kept the Mortal Kombat series off GFN so far.
  • Ghost of Yōtei, Astro Bot content, and Thief VR – All Sony-published and likely to remain PlayStation-only. Based on past trends, we don’t expect any of these to come to GFN.

50/50 Titles

  • Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound – A return of a beloved series with a mix of console and PC support. GFN inclusion will likely depend on how Koei Tecmo handles the rights. Dotemu have good support on GFN. We’d give it even odds.
  • Pragmata – Capcom’s long-delayed sci-fi title finally re-emerged with a new trailer and a 2026 release window. It’s confirmed for PC, but Capcom’s cloud track record is mixed, so we’re giving this a 50/50 rating until we see more.

Wrapping Up

While GFN wasn’t mentioned directly during the showcase (no surprise), the amount of PC titles announced and early opt-ins are promising. Expect updates on several of these over the summer — and we’ll be watching which devs choose to go the extra step and activate GFN support.

Let us know which of these you want to see on the cloud and keep an eye on our GeForce NOW news section for updates.
