Albion Online’s Abyssal Depths Update Brings Fire and Fury on June 30

A group of players battle at a ruined stone altar in Albion Online

The next major content update for Albion Online, Abyssal Depths, launches on June 30. This massive new chapter introduces a fiery extraction-style dungeon, reworked early game experience, new PvP rules, and a den full of hellish rewards.

Whether you’re diving in solo or as part of a small group, this update reshapes the way players battle, progress, and push for rare loot across Albion’s world.

Enter the Depths and Escape with Your Life (and Loot)

The Depths are a new high-risk PvE and PvP environment where 2–3 player groups face off against demons, traps, and rival players. Once inside, doors seal shut and players must descend through several layers, battling their way to a final treasure vault showdown.

The deeper you go, the higher the rewards but stay too long, and the dungeon may collapse. A new “Orange PvP” ruleset means only your inventory drops on death, giving newer players a less punishing way to try competitive content.

Antiquarian’s Den – A Hub for Hardcore Challenges

Albion’s toughest content now revolves around the Antiquarian’s Den, a new hub connected to all major cities. It streamlines entry to The Depths, Corrupted Dungeons, and Hellgates, and comes with faster matchmaking, a shared city bank, and a new Antiquarian Standing system.

Raising your standing unlocks hell-themed rewards like the Hellspinner and Soulspinner mounts, demonic capes, and avatar rings — all designed to let players flex their infernal accomplishments.

Overhauled Tutorial and Long-Term Progression

Albion’s new player experience has also been rebuilt. Instead of wandering aimlessly, players now pick one of three focused paths — Adventurer, Duelist, or Merchant — each tailored to different playstyles. As you complete objectives, the Albion Journal opens up to long-term challenges and milestone rewards.

A brand new Character Progression system also offers long-term goals tied to the Destiny Board, encouraging experimentation with crafting, combat, and gathering builds.

New Crystal Weapons and System Updates

Two new high-end Crystal Weapons arrive with the update:

  • Truebolt Hammer – shocks enemies and shields allies with each swing.
  • Stillgaze Staff – transforms you into a serpent, petrifying enemies with a glance.

Other upgrades include the Quick Learn system for faster progression through the Destiny Board, a cleaner Combined HUD Tracker, improved Marketplace UI, and clearer indicators for vanity unlocks.
