This week would once have been the build-up to E3, when surprise announcements and playable demos came thick and fast. The intensity might have faded, but there’s still plenty to be excited about.
We’re expecting June’s full GeForce NOW lineup to be revealed on Thursday, and there’s already a stack of big updates and new releases landing this week. Steam Next Fest is also right around the corner, and a number of game demos have quietly opted into GFN in recent days. We might be in for another wave of playable previews.
Let’s dig into what’s coming, what’s likely and what we’ll be keeping an eye on.
DLC & Updates
Atomfall – Wicked Isle Expansion
Atomfall expands this week with the Wicked Isle DLC, launching June 3. Set on a haunting new island just off the British coast, it introduces otherworldly threats, strange cults, and new layers to the narrative. Expect more combat, more mystery, and plenty of unsettling surprises.
Kunitsu-Gami – Otherworldly Venture Mode
Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess gets a free update on June 5 introducing Otherworldly Venture — a roguelike mode with endless waves of enemies, score attacks, and stripped-back mechanics focused on pure action. It arrives alongside the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 release.
Farming Simulator 25 – Plains & Prairies Pack
The Plains & Prairies Pack brings over 20 new machines to Farming Simulator 25, including the iconic Ford 976 & 1156 Versatile tractors. It also introduces GEA and Trout River as new brands and adds enhanced realism through dynamic trailer covers and lift axles. Launches June 3.
Likely New Games Coming to GFN this Week
Every month brings a few surprises, and some titles launching this week seem like strong contenders. Tour de France 2025 and Pro Cycling Manager 2025 have consistently arrived on GeForce NOW at launch. Ultra Mega Cats is developed by the same team behind Fort Solis, which is already available on the service. Given that track record, these picks feel like safe bets.
Tour de France 2025
The premier cycling sim returns with official teams, jerseys, and route data from the legendary race. You can ride full tours or take on individual stages, managing stamina, terrain tactics, and team orders in real time. It’s a slow-burn strategy title that rewards those who enjoy the technical side of endurance sports.
Pro Cycling Manager 2025
Instead of racing, this one puts you in charge of everything behind the scenes. You’ll recruit riders, set training plans, handle finances, and make key decisions during race day. It’s a deep simulation experience built for strategy fans who want to shape the entire season from the ground up.
Ultra Mega Cats
This side-scrolling action game goes all in on chaos. Expect cartoon-style explosions, ridiculous superpowers, and a rotating cast of feline heroes fighting to save the universe. It supports solo or co-op play and leans heavily into arcade-style combat with tons of flair and attitude.
Showcase Season Returns – Sort Of
This might not be the old E3 week, but it still feels like the start of something big. A wave of summer gaming events kicks off now, and while GFN logos are a rare sight, we’ll be watching closely and doing breakdowns of which games look most likely to end up on the service.
Summer Game Fest
Geoff Keighley’s main event is back—expect hype, world premieres, and the annual Hideo Kojima love-in. We’re not expecting many direct GFN confirmations, but games shown here often opt in soon after. There’s also a strong chance Assassin’s Creed pops up, potentially as part of the Xbox show.
Xbox Games Showcase + Direct
This one has serious potential. A lot of Xbox titles have gone quiet, State of Decay 3, Perfect Dark, maybe even a new Forza or an update on the new Gears. Could the next Call of Duty be here too? With more PC titles launching day-and-date and Game Pass support on GFN, Xbox’s showcase is one to watch.
PC Gaming Show
GFN has sponsored this one in the past, and it’s often a goldmine for indie hits and mid-tier PC games. The only challenge is sorting out which ones will actually hit the cloud, but expect a few of them to quietly opt in not long after.
Wholesome Direct and more
Also on the calendar are events like Wholesome Direct and several other indie-focused streams. These might not grab headlines, but we’ve seen plenty of GFN-friendly games debut here in the past.
GFN Thursday Predictions – New Month, New Games
It’s not just any GFN Thursday this week. It’s the first one of the month, which means NVIDIA will reveal a wave of new games coming to GeForce NOW throughout June. These monthly announcements often include unannounced surprises and a few long-awaited additions. All these games have already opted in and we think the chances are high most of these get added.
Dune: Awakening – Funcom’s long-awaited survival MMO has been opted in for months.
Mindseye – The UE5 thriller is now a standalone game and no longer tied to Everywhere.
The Alters – From the studio behind Frostpunk, this one’s already opted in and heavily promoted.
Broken Arrow – Large-scale RTS with previous GFN demo support, ready for deployment.
FBC: Firebreak – Remedy’s new co-op FPS set in the Control universe, built for paranatural chaos.
Lost in Random: Eternal Die Edition – Now under Thunderful, this refreshed EA Original could sneak in.
System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition – Expected to arrive soon after the first game’s successful GFN run
Something to keep an eye on. Steam Next Fest kicks off this week, and we’ve already noticed a bunch of game demos opting into GeForce NOW. While these haven’t been officially confirmed for cloud yet, it’s something we’ve seen before a whole wave of Next Fest demos arriving at once. We’ll be watching closely to see if NVIDIA pulls the trigger again.
Wrapping Up
In the days of E3, this week would’ve been electric. And while the intensity isn’t quite the same, there’s still a lot to be excited about if you’re gaming on GeForce NOW. Major DLCs are landing, new games are launching, and some strong opt-ins are setting the stage for June.
We’re heading into conference season, with Summer Game Fest kicking it off. Expect a busy week as studios try to get their announcements out ahead of the major showcases.
If you still think GeForce NOW is just about the Thursday drops, this week is a reminder there’s a whole lot more going on.
