Vermintide 2 Is Free To Keep on Steam This Week

Vermintide 2 is free to keep on Steam between now and November 24, so anyone who hasn’t jumped in yet can finally grab it without spending a penny. Once it’s in your library, it stays there forever. Since the original 2018 launch the game has grown massively, more than doubling its content through free DLC, quality of life updates and full new modes like Chaos Wastes and Versus. It’s a lot bigger than people remember.

The newest update arrived yesterday with Return to the Reik, a fan favourite spot from the first Vermintide rebuilt for the sequel. It’s been expanded, reimagined and generally made nastier in all the right ways. If you skipped the announcement, it’s worth catching up because it’s a proper chunk of new stuff.

Events Running Until November 30

The Fangtastic Fortitude portrait frame is also infectious again. Win a match while someone on your team is wearing it and it spreads to your account automatically. It’s silly, but it keeps the community buzzing, and it’s active until November 30. Double XP is running to the same date too, which is handy whether you’re starting new characters or just returning for the fresh update.
